The Performing Life
Violist. Chamber Musician. Soloist in Progress.
Kim Foster has been performing professionally for over two decades — in orchestras, opera pits, chamber halls, and recital stages. Her performing life has never been defined by a single role or a single kind of music. It has been defined by conviction: a deep commitment to the instrument, to the repertoire, and to the particular kind of communication that only happens in a live performance.
She is currently focusing her performing energy on solo and chamber work — and on completing her debut solo recording, a collection of works for viola by women composers that represents the most personal artistic statement of her career so far.
